(Topshop Blouse and Pants, Urban Outfitters Blazer, Vintage Bag, Jeffery Campbell Litas)
Tried the new restaurant in Monkstown over the weekend: Salt. Yummy and the interior is so cute...loved these piano keys on the wall. So clever! Bought this bag the same day at a Vintage Fair. Was so much fun. Fell in love with the most amazing fur coat. It was heartbreaking when i saw the price tag and couldn't justify spending that amount on myself so close to Christmas. Maybe Santa had elves watching and it will magically appear in my stocking on Christmas morning!!!! |

Flawless as always! Two questions - what is the nail polish you're wearing! So pretty. Also, when you're shopping, how do you know what's worth investing in for the long haul? I find time and again I buy a piece only to realise that it matches nothing I have, or it my initial love for it just doesn't last. I want to start buying things that I know I'll have for a significant time and more importantly LOVE and feel good wearing for a significant time! I'm too broke at this stage! :(
Thanks for the comment. To be honest my wardrobe is full of items that are quite similar. Im a sucker for jumpers and blouses...and anything i see in a nude/cream colour i fall for at first glance! I feel once you know your style and what shapes suit you, you should always stick to that. Especially in expensive, statement items. Investing for the long haul, as you said, I think is only achieved by staying away from 'trend' items. Buy unique pieces that you haven't seen much of. That way you avoid getting bored and they dont go out of fashion. Try orientate your shopping, as in one week buy a top, the next bottoms. This way you dont end up with a million of one or the other! I too get bored of things very quickly, so I feel that if I buy something I dont have anything to wear it with, I make it a rule I must buy something to go with it... Otherwise it sits in your closet and you get bored of looking at it before you've even worn it! Dont wear something new over and over because you love it. Try wait at least a month before wearing it again, and then wear it with something new :) I hope this helps. This is how I get ful usage out of my clothes and dont make silly purchases! Ps The nail-varnish is by ILLAMASQUA colour DWS. xxxxx
