This is my second look featuring my Madewell tuxedo vest. For some strange reason, filtering through the photos taken for this post, I was reminded of The Shining (the famous Jack Nicholson movie). Whether it is the eery lighting, the black on white colouring, or the demented look on my face due to the freezing cold, i was rather pleased with the set-like vibe it achieved. 

These Zara mules are the latest addition to my shoe collection. I am rather delighted with the tassel detailing and the finishing touch this gives my overall look.

VXV Take One

This tuxedo-style vest will be featured in my next five outfit posts. Five days. Five looks. One Vest. This first look is especially exciting for me, as it marks the end of winter layering, bringing the freedom of warm, spring air. The vibrant colour and floral baroque-style pattern of this two-piece is in-keeping with the 'Spring' theme, and I love how it contrasts actively with the strong, linear shape of the vest.

Ps. My milky-white skin can make up for the lack of snow in the surroundings!

Shawl-in' it up Homié Style

I have been on the hunt for the perfect denim shirt for a while now. It's a tougher quest than I imagined. Looking for all the right ingredients can be tedious, when every time you think the hunt has come to an end, you realise either the buttons are an ugly shade of brown, the collar is dodgy, or its too short and therefore not long enough to cover up that camel-toe that is forever bugging me (...kidding). Anyway, if you are in the near future looking for a denim shirt that is really 'made well,' look no further than Madewell (cringe i know!). 

Ps. It is still beyond freezing here. And after all the denim-shirt-fuss, I'm now realising I should have purchased something more insulating.
